Abstract:
Environment connects in an associate way with human being by physical, mental, emotional and spiritual means.
This connection can create a different perspective of life for people in every aspect. This thesis intent to provide a design of a center for meditating with healing spaces. Apart from the daily spiritual activities, the reason for such center is for people to leave the stress and tension they face in daily lives behind and move for an inward change. The built environment and the spaces it creates should not only be seen as a physical surrounding but as an interaction between spirituality, architecture and a sense of space. The study aims to integrate traditional Maharashtrian construction material to the spiritual and medication center. The dissertation explores the relationship between nature and human body that enables healing. The culmination of all study leads to a design of a proposed spiritual healing and medication center.
